ForceField 316 marine-grade stainless steel security screens

The clearest view you'll get through a security screen. Stainless steel mesh made for coastal air, welded into a heavy-duty aluminium frame.

What ForceField is

ForceField is Prowler Proof's top security screen. The infill is a Meshtec 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh, held in a fully machine-welded, heavy-duty aluminium frame with no screws or rivets. From a few metres back the mesh almost disappears, so you keep your view and your light.

Why 316 stainless matters on the Gold Coast

316 is a marine grade of stainless steel. It's chosen for places with salt in the air because it resists corrosion better than general-purpose stainless. If you're near the beach, a canal, the Broadwater or the Coomera River, that's the grade you want in your mesh.

Marine grade isn't maintenance-free, though. Salt still builds up on any surface, so rinsing your screens with fresh water every month or two near the water keeps them looking right and keeps the warranty conversation simple.

Where ForceField works best

  • Windows and doors with a view: the backyard, the pool, the water.
  • Coastal and canal homes around Hope Island, Jacobs Well and along the rivers.
  • Front doors where you want to see who's there.
  • Commercial sites like childcare centres, where airflow and visibility both matter.

Worth knowing before you choose

ForceField is the premium range, and it's priced that way. It gives less daytime privacy than Protec. Plenty of customers use ForceField at the back of the house and Protec at the front.

Doors and windows

ForceField is available as hinged security doors, sliding security doors and window screens, made to measure and powder-coated to match your frames.

Security doors come with Lockwood locks: the 8654 on hinged doors and the 8653 on sliding doors, both with Lockwood's two-stage DualSelect key. 3-point locking is standard on every door, and doors ordered together can be keyed alike.

Covered by Prowler Proof's 10-year full replacement warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.

Questions we get asked

Is ForceField a stainless steel security door?

Yes. When people ask for a stainless steel security door, ForceField is what they're after: 316 stainless steel mesh in a welded aluminium frame.

Is ForceField worth it over aluminium options?

If you want the clearest view, or you live close to salt water, usually yes. If privacy matters more on a particular window, Protec may suit it better and cost less. We'll recommend per opening, not one product for the whole house.

Will ForceField rust?

316 stainless steel is chosen because it resists corrosion in salty air. It still needs a regular fresh-water rinse near the coast to stop salt building up on the surface.

Does ForceField keep insects out?

Yes. ForceField is a security screen and a flyscreen in one, so it replaces your old flyscreens.
