Security doors for hinged and sliding doorways
Front doors, laundry doors and sliding doors onto the patio. Welded Prowler Proof security doors with Lockwood locks, made to fit your doorway and installed square.
The door does the most work, so it gets the most attention
Your front and back doors are opened dozens of times a day. A security door has to stay square, lock every time and still look good after years of being slammed by kids and pushed by the wind. That comes down to three things: a strong frame, a good lock, and a proper install.
Prowler Proof security doors use a machine-welded heavy-duty aluminium frame with no screws or rivets holding the corners together. We fit hinged doors and sliding doors, custom made for each opening.

When people ask for a stainless steel security door, they're usually after the clear, see-through mesh look. That's ForceField: a 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh in a welded aluminium frame. It's the one to pick if you want to see out of your front door, or you're close enough to the water to smell it.
Lockwood locks, keyed alike
We fit Lockwood locks to every security door:
- Lockwood 8654 on hinged doors. It has a stainless steel hookbolt and Lockwood's two-stage DualSelect key: one turn locks it from outside while you can still get out from inside, the second turn deadlocks it both ways.
- Lockwood 8653 on sliding doors, with DualSelect and a LockAlert indicator so you can see at a glance whether it's key-locked.
- 3-point locking as standard on every door, locking it at the top, middle and bottom.
- Keyed alike when the doors are ordered together, so one key opens all of them.
Questions we get asked
Can you fit a security door to a sliding door?
Yes. Sliding security doors are a big part of what we do, usually onto a patio or deck. They run on their own track and lock with the Lockwood 8653.
Can you replace an old security door?
Yes. We remove the old door and fit the new one to the opening. If the old frame or doorway has moved over the years, we'll pick that up at the measure.
What colours are available?
Prowler Proof offers a wide range of powder-coat colours. We'll match the door to your window frames or your front door at the measure.
Can I get my new door keyed to my existing locks?
Doors ordered together can be keyed alike with each other. If you want to match an existing lock, mention it at the measure and we'll tell you what's possible.
Get it measured properly, then decide.
