Security window screens for Gold Coast and Logan homes
Open your windows without leaving the house open. Prowler Proof window screens are made to measure, welded at every corner, and fitted by the team that quoted them.
A security screen is not a flyscreen with a lock
A flyscreen keeps insects out. A security screen has to do that too, and also stop a person: someone cutting the mesh, kicking the frame, or levering it out of the window. That means the infill, the frame, the way they're joined and the way the screen is fixed to your house all have to be strong enough.
Prowler Proof frames are machine-welded rather than screwed or riveted, and the products are audited against the Australian Standards for security screens through the National Security Screen Association. We install them the same way every time: fixed into solid structure, square in the opening, and checked before we leave.
Compare the four window screen ranges
Every range is welded, made to measure and covered by the same 10-year replacement warranty. The difference is how they look, what you see through them and where they suit.

See the detailsWhat we look at when we measure your windows
- Which windows actually open. Fixed panes don't need a screen. Opening windows on the ground floor and any you can reach from a roof, balcony or fence usually do.
- What's behind the window. A street-facing bedroom suits Protec's daytime privacy. A back window with a view suits ForceField.
- Upper floors and kids. Bedroom windows upstairs are where Guardian fall prevention screens come in.
- Distance from salt water. Near the coast or the canals, ForceField's 316 stainless mesh is usually the pick. We'll tell you straight if a product isn't right for your spot.
- The frame colour. We match the screen frame to your window frames so the screens look like they came with the house.
Questions we get asked
Can I still open and close my windows with screens fitted?
Yes. The screens sit outside or inside the window depending on how it opens, and we set them up so the window works as normal. We'll explain the setup for each window at the measure.
Will security screens make my house dark?
Less than most people expect. ForceField stainless mesh keeps the clearest view. Protec reduces light a little more but gives daytime privacy in return. Bring it up at the measure and we'll show you samples against your windows.
Do I need screens on every window?
Not always. We'll go through which windows are realistic entry points and which aren't, and quote accordingly. Plenty of customers start with the ground floor and add more later.
How do I look after them?
Rinse them with fresh water and a soft brush every few months, more often near the coast. Our guide to screens for coastal homes covers care in more detail.
