Security screens for Sparrow Early Learning Centre, Ormeau
31 security doors and 24 security window screens, fitted across an early learning centre at the northern end of the Gold Coast.
The brief
Sparrow Early Learning Centre in Ormeau wanted rooms that could be opened up for airflow, and easier movement between rooms for staff and children, without giving up on safety. Health and safety is one of the centre's core values, so the screens had to be strong, durable and good value, and the process had to be quick and simple for a busy centre.
The centre likes to support local businesses and chose Viking on recommendation.
What we fitted
- 31 security doors
- 24 security window screens in Prowler Proof ForceField
Why ForceField
ForceField's stainless steel mesh keeps the view and the airflow, which matters in rooms full of kids on a Queensland afternoon. The welded frames suit a building where doors are opened and closed all day.
Prowler Proof also published this project as a case study on their website.
